MARC EWERS GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

Our Managing Director, Marc Ewers, was delighted when the Head of the Department of Medical Management at the Faculty of Health Sciences at MSH Medical School Hamburg (MSH) approached him with the question of whether he could imagine working as a lecturer in the Master’s program in Hospital Management at MSH. As an experienced architect in the healthcare sector, he could contribute valuable perspectives and expertise to the interdisciplinary education of the students – particularly in terms of the structural, spatial, and functional planning of healthcare facilities.

The Master’s program in Hospital Management equips students with comprehensive skills for managing healthcare institutions such as hospitals, medical care centers, or rehabilitation clinics. In addition, the program qualifies graduates for consulting roles in the healthcare sector, pharmaceutical companies, insurance providers, as well as health and social authorities.

He didn’t have to think long before accepting MSH’s offer to go back to school. Teaching students key skills in "construction planning, renovation, and financing" and providing them with an education that is both practical and academically sound is a truly wonderful task – one that he has gladly taken on with the current graduating class of the Master’s program.
