STATE-OF-THE-ART OPERATING TECHNOLOGY MEETS EXISTING STRUCTURE – WHILE OPERATIONS CONTINUE

The inauguration of our project at the Israelitisches Krankenhaus Hamburg (IK-H) is just around the corner. Together with the Senator for Health, Social Affairs and Integration of the Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Melanie Schlotzhauer, we will celebrate the completion of the extension, which adjoins the existing building to the northeast.

The project has created modern technical and ancillary spaces, as well as two significantly enlarged and technologically upgraded operating theatres, developed while maintaining ongoing operations. These theatres are now equipped for state-of-the-art robot-assisted procedures using current Da Vinci systems and are precisely tailored to the needs of their users.

A project that demonstrates how technical rigor can be combined with a consistent sensitivity for planning and execution, a respectful approach to the existing structure, and consideration for the people involved — from project partners to the hospital staff who continued their work throughout construction. It is also a project that anticipates and structurally accommodates future expansions.

We will be sharing more impressions from the inauguration soon.
