Production facility for Waldemar Link

The Waldemar Link GmbH & Co. KG based in Hamburg works every day to ensure that people who are dependent on an endoprosthesis can live pain-free and as mobile as possible.

In addition to the Norderstedt production site, Link is building a high-tech production facility for innovative joint replacement implants in Bad Bramstedt. A factory for the development and production of innovative medical technology products is to be built on a spacious plot of land in Bad Bramstedt. We were commissioned as general planner to develop a new building in Bad Bramstedt that combines the functions of industrial, administrative and health care buildings. Very high hygienic standards are required for the new medical technology production facility: The endoprostheses produced there are dispatched in such a way that they are only opened again for the operation and used directly on the patient in a qualitatively and hygienically impeccable manner. Everything has to be 100% perfect. This is the manufacturer’s everyday aspiration and therefore also the aspiration for the building being designed. The target layout of the production facility will be implemented in various construction phases.

The production workplaces are to be designed to be bright and light for all employees with a view to the outside.
