OLYMPUS SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE 

In Hamburg, the global Olympus competence center for rigid endoscopy is located. At the same time, this is the headquarters of Olympus Surgical Technologies Europe (OSTE). OSTE serves as the European development and production center for medical technology within the Olympus Group. The company stands for excellence in diagnostics, therapy, reprocessing, and system integration, offering the full range of state-of-the-art endoscopic applications—from individual products to procedure-oriented system solutions.

At OSTE’s headquarters in Hamburg-Jenfeld, the prefabrication area C3 (Hall 3) is to undergo structural and energy-related refurbishment. This measure provides an opportunity to optimally align the area for future technical and production-related expansions. The planning objectives include both the building’s energy modernization and improved environmental conditions for production, combined with the ability to accommodate the expected growth rates in the coming years while complying with current fire safety regulations.

Based on our plans, the newly created, more open interior layout will provide greater flexibility for the currently planned, new, and future manufacturing layouts. In addition, a new technical control center will be built on the roof, enabling more flexible equipment options. Within this project, it will also consolidate and optimize the site’s technical building services (TGA) infrastructure and transition it to a modern, energy-efficient concept.
