Jungheinrich (JH) has been manufacturing its entire range of electric low-platform trucks at the Landsberg plant since 2009. As part of the planning team, we took over project management and later, the plant management at the intersection of construction, manufacturing plants and logistics for the completely new production facility “on the greenfield site” in Landsberg, where more than 30,000 vehicles roll off the production line every year. In 2016 the JH plant in Landsberg received the Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Award. According to the laudatory speech at the award ceremony: “The Landsberg plant is modern, sustainable and designed for growth” – that was exactly the plan.
